Marcie Cook is in her 20th year of teaching business at Canyon High school. She has taught Business Management, Business Law, Principles of Business, Marketing and Finance, Entrepreneurship, and the Pursuing Real Opportunities Internship Program. She is the sponsor of the Class of 2018 and of The Business Club. Mrs. Cook graduated from Wheeler High School and from Texas Tech University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and in 1998 with a Masters Degree in Education. She holds lifetime certificates in elementary education and secondary vocational office education. Mrs. Cook began teaching at Canyon High School in 1998 and was named the 2011 CHS Teacher of the Year by the CHS faculty and staff. She was one of the two finalists for the 2011 CISD Secondary Teacher of the Year Award.
Mrs. Cook is married to her high school sweetheart and is the proud mother of two boys. She loves to be with her family at the lake or in the mountains, playing golf, and watching her children’s many sports activities.
