WT Enterprise Center Welcomes New Advisory Board Members

WT Enterprise Center is expanding our resources with the addition of new advisory board members! Each of our board members represent an industry of support to our entrepreneur ecosystem and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience to enhance the Enterprise Center. We have a great group of current board members who have provided valuable input over the years and we look forward to the added contributions of our new members!

*Robert Austin, Amarillo College – Robert Austin serves as the Vice President of Student Affairs at Amarillo College, where he is responsible for the successful implementation of the college’s strategic plan.

 

 

 

 

*Jay Barrett, AACAL – Jay Barrett is principal at both Amarillo Area Center for Advanced Learning (AACAL) and Amarillo Online School—positions within the Amarillo Independent School District (AISD) he has held since 2008.

 

 

 

 

*Marcie Cook, Canyon ISD – Marcie Cook teaches Principles of Business, Marketing and Finance, Entrepreneurship, and the Pursuing Real Opportunities Internship Program at Canyon High School.

 

 

 

Coco Duckworth, Encourage Consulting – In 2004, Coco founded Encourage Consulting, an executive coaching and training firm based in Amarillo. She specializes in helping business leaders and entrepreneurs go further and faster in their careers, with an emphasis on retaining a harmonious home and work life.

 

 

 

*Reagan Hales, Amarillo Economic Development Corporation – Although Reagan’s an Amarillo native, she’s a recent addition to the Amarillo EDC. Her experience ranges from fixed income sales at Merrill Lynch to non-profit fundraising at the American Heart Association.

 

 

 

Amy Henderson, Amarillo National Bank – Amy Henderson is a business loan officer focusing on solving the cash flow needs of businesses. She is a lender for Amarillo National Bank and has worked for ANB for over 13 years.

 

 

 

 

*Kyle Ingham, Panhandle Regional Planning Commission – Kyle began his career with the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission in 2000 as an intern and has held positions responsible for criminal justice, hazard mitigation, solid waste management, Community Development Block Grants, contract City Management, regional water planning, regional transportation planning, and economic development planning.  Since 2008 Kyle has served as the Local Government Services Director overseeing both the Economic Development and Local Government Services Departments of the PRPC.

 

*Angela Lust, Longview Strategies – As founder and President of Longview Strategies, LLC, Angela Lust brings over 25 years of experience in public, nonprofit and philanthropic organizations, including more than a decade as senior executive of a community foundation.

 

 

 

 

Mark Marrs, Interstate Bank – Mark Marrs is Sr. Vice President in the Commercial Lending department of Interstate Bank, ssb, located at 5085 S. Coulter, in Amarillo.  Mark’s primary responsibilities include origination and servicing of all types of commercial real estate and small-business loans, including the utilization of the U.S. Small Business Administration, and other government guaranty programs, when applicable.

 

 

Brad Martin – Brad Martin is the President of W. B. Martin and Associates, Inc. and the previous Chairman of Scottco Mechanical Contractors, Inc. Brad is an active consultant in the areas of mechanical engineering and business strategy.

 

 

 

 

Johnny Mize – Johnny has 25 years of experience working and consulting with executives of fortune 500 corporations, insurance companies, third party claim administrators, insurance brokers and governmental entities. Johnny served as President and CEO of Corporate Systems for twelve successful years until the purchase of the company by Marsh in 2005. Mr. Mize speaks at professional seminars and management conferences on the subjects of risk cost control, medical cost management, and strategies for reducing claim administration and loss cost.

 

*Jacob Moreno, Altura Engineering & DesignJacob Moreno is a Partner for Altura Engineering and Design he has 13 years in design and construction. Here he manages the design group consisting of eight designers. Jacob currently resides in Amarillo TX and is married with two daughters. His hobbies include working out, coaching soccer, and restoring classic cars.

 

 

 

Gary Sage, Sage Oil Vac – Gary Sage is the founder of Sage Oil Vac, a manufacturer of new and innovative fluid changing equipment that is 100 percent mobile and self-supporting. Sage Oil Vac is a past recipient of the Amarillo EnterPrize Challenge and a graduate of the WTAMU Enterprise Center Incubation program.

 

 

 

*Phillip Shipley, Golden Spread Council (Boy Scouts of America) –  Phillip serves as the scout executive for the Golden Spread Council of Boy Scouts of America. He is an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow, and has attained Three Bead Wood Badge Staff and Professional’s Key.

 

 

 

Chris Stewart, Burdett, Morgan, Williamson & Boykin, LLP – Christian (Chris) D. Stewart, former sole shareholder of Law Office of Chris Stewart. His law practice focuses on matters of intellectual property, computer and technology and litigation. Chris is a recognized speaker in the areas of intellectual property, computer and technology law.

 

 

 

Dr. Neil Terry, West Texas A&M University – Dr. Terry joined the College of Business in 1997.  He now serves as the Dean of the College of Business.

 

 

 

 

 

Mark Wingate, MVC, Inc. – Mark Wingate is a third-generation entrepreneur presently working in his fourth startup, Maxi Volt Corporation (MVC). MVC is an electronics manufacturing company doing business worldwide.
