As the school year returned in full swing, we opened our doors to new faces from the high school internship program, Pursuing Real Opportunities. We now host one college and two high school interns in our collaborative intern office, and look forward to the learning and growth this year has in store.
Tiffany Reynolds
Tiffany is a student at Amarillo College and has been interning at the WT Enterprise Center for one year, starting during her senior year at Caprock High School through the Pursuing Real Opportunities Program. She found out about the Enterprise Center during industry interviews her junior year. Tiffany initially interviewed with graphic design companies, but felt the Enterprise Center was a better fit for her. Her favorite aspect of the Enterprise Center is that everyone is so welcoming and willing to answer questions and we make sure people have the tools to be successful, whether they are an intern, client or employee. Interning here benefits her by solidifying her passion for graphic design, teaching her to look closely over her work before submitting and not being afraid to ask questions. Tiffany will graduate from Amarillo College in May 2016 and attend West Texas A&M University in the fall to major in graphic design and get her teaching certificate. An interesting fact about Tiffany is she has an obsession with shoes.
Rachel Tuttle
Rachel began her internship here in September and is a senior at Amarillo High School. She became interested in the WT Enterprise Center because of our focus on start-up businesses and emphasis on growth. Rachel aspires to be an entrepreneur, so this internship benefits her by instilling the marketing and business aspects of entrepreneurship. After graduation, she plans to attend either Manhattan Christian College or William Jessup University. Rachel aims to be a ministry leader and open her own coffee shop. An interesting fact about Rachel is she plays the ukulele.
Erin Westermann
Erin began her internship at the WT Enterprise Center in September and is a senior at Canyon High School. Her favorite aspects of the Enterprise Center are our concentration on co-working, familiar and friendly culture and how every day is different from the last. Interning here allows Erin to explore her interests in marketing and gain experience in the field, laying a foundation of knowledge for her future. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas next fall and major in marketing in hopes to one day work for a non-profit or cause-minded entity. An interesting fact about Erin is that she loves to act, dance and sing with the Canyon High School theater department.
